The Natal Estate Seva Raam Bhajan Group (NESRBG) is a non-profit religious organization established by a group of friends united by shared devotion, values, and a deep love for spiritual service. Our vision is to serve our community meaningfully while instilling strong moral and spiritual values in our youth.
Our members are deeply passionate and devoted to the rendering of bhajans, with a primary focus on the tradition of “Raam Bhajan,” a sacred devotional practice established in Durban by our forefathers. The founding members possess extensive experience in this form of devotional music and firmly believe that, together, we can make a positive impact—not only through our music but also by contributing value to the broader community.
We uphold the principle that prayer should never carry a price tag. This belief is central to our teachings and is actively instilled in our junior members, ensuring that the organisation’s vision and values endure for generations to come. The word “Seva” in our name reflects the spirit of selfless service, which lies at the heart of our mission. We are committed to serving with humility, sincerity, and joy.

The group was established in January 2017. At its core, the founding members collectively bring more than two decades of experience in this sacred form of devotional music.
We currently have 28 members, the majority of whom are youth. It is both our privilege and our pleasure to invest in the next generation by nurturing their talents and instilling, from an early age, the core values and principles upheld by our faith.
We welcome new members to join our group, regardless of age or prior experience in Raam Bhajan. We dedicate significant time and effort to regular practice and mentorship, as we firmly believe that investing in our members is the most effective way to preserve and strengthen the future of this devotional tradition. Indeed, the most valuable asset of any organisation is its people.
